Commercial and industrial construction firm continued its annual tradition of funding and helping assemble Christmas packages for families in need.

(RICHMOND HILL, Ga.) The Dewitt Tilton Group, a commercial and industrial construction firm,  continued its annual tradition of supporting the Backpacks of Love program. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to eliminating hunger among school-age children in Bryan County, Georgia. The Dewitt Tilton Group generously donated $2,000 to fund Christmas dinner packages for the students in need. For the fifth year in a row, The Dewitt Tilton Group team members volunteered their time to help pack these Christmas boxes.

The donation presentation took place at New Beginnings Community Church in Richmond Hill. The Dewitt Tilton Group not only contributed financially but also rolled up their sleeves to assemble the Christmas dinner packages for the students.

These packages included ham, turkey, canned fruits and vegetables, and other shelf-stable food items to ensure a complete and nutritious holiday meal.

Backpacks of Love was founded in 2013 to send at-risk and potentially hungry schoolchildren in Bryan County home with packages of nutritious food each Friday and before extended school breaks. This program is made possible through a partnership between the United Way of the Coastal Empire and New Beginnings Community Church. Donations from individuals, organizations and businesses such as The Dewitt Tilton Group play a crucial role in strengthening this effort.
